Things to do and see – There are lots of tourist attractions close by. The Parque de Las Aguilas is in Chayofa and is one of the most exciting attractions in Tenerife south. (Also known as The Eagle Park, Las Aguilas Del Teide and The Jungle Park) The park is more than just a zoo; it has a jungle trail for the children plus shops and restaurants. It is home to a whole host of flora and fauna and the trees are alive with parrots and other unusual birds. The animal enclosures vary from pygmy hippos to white tigers. If you fancy a camel ride why not visit The Camel Park located on the road from Chayofa to Los Christianos. Amusements and water parks are also nearby. One of Europe's largest Water Theme Parks’ “The Siam Park” is situated in Las Americas only a few minutes drive from Chayofa. There are not only countless water slides here but also a spectacular shows several times each day.

Further a field there are many ‘parks’ ranging from cactus parks and ecological parks to national parks. Not forgetting the famous ‘Loro Parque’ with its collection of over 300 species of parrots, various animal enclosures, sea lion shows, dolphinarium, aquarium with shark tunnel and now the world’s largest Penguinarium which replicates Antarctic conditions, complete with snow falls. Well worth a visit!
